Back in the SMHOG Office
South Manchester Helen O'Grady
Hello everyone, the SMHOG office is now open and working. We have had quite a number of enrolment enquiries in the past fortnight but we are now sat waiting for your call on 0161 749 8746 or 0161 929 9586 if you want to ring and enrol or just simply enquire about the wonderful classes we offer at the South Manchester Helen O’Grady Drama Academy. The new term looks to be an exciting one with the teachers chomping at the bit to start. Currently all classes start back the week commencing the 8th September 2014 and we are looking forward to welcoming you back. Don’t forget that new students can have a free trial lesson for the first week simply to show you the type of drama class we operate and to see if your child likes what we do. Just get in touch and we will arrange it all.
Last year we had a wonderful year culminating in some fantastic end of year performances by our students at the show. If you follow the blog you will have seen some of the wonderful images captured at the show. I sat through every performance and could see the improvement of some children from last year and the confidence and professionalism of others who have been with the Academy for some time. It is always a pleasure to hand out awards to those who have been at the Academy for a while and there were some who were awarded their 10 year plate.
An exciting development for us at SMHOG is that we are going to provide LAMDA classes ultimately leading to examinations and qualifications for any student wishing to take part. These classes will be run by our Principal Andy at a venue in the Urmston area not far from the Trafford Centre. Many universities accept the UCAS points which can be awarded by these examinations. We are proposing to run Upper Primary and Youth classes at first with the possibility of expanding the classes to all ages. Once again, you only have to email or make the call to the office for us to give you full information.
Just a short and sweet blog post today because we are really busy on the phones and emails and also preparing leaflets for schools. Hope to hear from you very soon.
