Drama Teacher(s) required for the South Manchester Helen O’Grady Drama Academy (SMHOG).

South Manchester Helen O’Grady operates drama classes for children and teenagers aged between 4¬†and 17. We use Drama to help develop those crucial social skills that will enable your child to get a good start in life.

Through Drama, children and teenagers can learn to express themselves, be confident, speak clearly and interact with others. The curriculum that Helen O’Grady teaches worldwide works with your child allowing them to develop at their own pace around friends.

South Manchester Helen O’Grady, affectionatley known as ‘SMHOG’ is your local Manchester Academy, run by Andrew Kielty as Principal and Jane Kielty as Joint Principal. They work tirelessly to bring the worldwide learning programme, structured to teach children and teenagers basic skills that stay with them forever, to the South Manchester area.

SMHOG has an opportunity for a dedicated, energetic and enthusiastic drama teacher to work on a part-time basis at one of our drama studios around the Stockport and Trafford areas teaching our bespoke developmental drama curriculum designed to help build confidence and self-esteem in young people. Our classes aim to bring out the best in children, help them gain skills in communication and responsibility through drama.

Full training will be given. Excellent rates of pay whilst training, plus additional bonus when fully qualified. You will be expected to teach a curriculum programme to children in classes aged between 4 years and 17 years at after school clubs and early evening between 4pm and 7pm.

SMHOG is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children. Applicants must be prepared to undergo stringent child protection screening including checks with past employers and an enhanced DBS check is required.
