Happy New Year from all at SMHOG
South Manchester Helen O'Grady
Hello Smhoggers!! We all hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. We hope you like our pictures of the Cheadle Hulme class acting as Christmas Decorations coming to life after they had been hung on a tree by a sleepy householder. Don’t you just love the active imagination of a child to show their confidence even in front of a camera taking a picture or two.
Classes start back at all of our studios this week commencing 4 January 2016. There is an exciting new curriculum on offer which we will be running through at our Manchester seminar this Sunday where all the Principals and Teachers from around the country meet up to work through the new scripts, mimes and improvisations.
We are still enrolling for the new term and we have to say that places at some studios are becoming limited so get in touch with us at the office if you want to reserve your place. New student are given a free trial first lesson to see if they enjoy our programme of learning so if you considering taking the plunge then there really is no risk and no outlay just to see if it is something for your child. Just give us a call
World Famous Performance Term
Don’t forget that the term after this one is our World Famous (well nearly world famous!) performance term where you get to strut your stuff on stage in front of a live audience consisting of family and friends. The whole ethos is about taking part and showing everyone your confidence and ability through our specially written scripts. There is no competition at SMHOG. Each child will improve when using our programme of learning. Some will learn quicker than others but the main point is that the learning is fun and interactive. In many respects most children often pick up skills from our classes without actually realising that they are doing so.
Drama will also exercise the body as well as the mind.
