South Manchester Helen O'Grady
At Smhog we are dedicated to providing an excellent service designed to increase confidence and self esteem in children through drama based activities taken from a curriculum which is under constant monitoring and review. So it is always wonderful to receive thanks from parents who write in and tell us how much their child enjoys classes and the end of year performances. Many of these have been resident on the Smhog office wall but I decided that they were no good there and should be published on our world famous (well, possibly world famous) website.
So here goes. The first letter of several is from a mother of a young lady and it was following the end of year show that all children can take part in if they wish.
Just a brief note to say a HUGE “Thank you” for all your hard work and encouragement of Holly throughout the year. She has flourished under your guidance and has greatly grown in confidence. You also deserve a large vote of thanks for last Friday’s performance – we thoroughly enjoyed the show and were amazed at how much you got out of the children. Congratulations to you and all your hard working colleagues for your dedication. It was wonderful to see the sheer excitement and joyon the faces of all the children as they experienced “real” acting!
What a great testimonial to Smhog and to the Helen O’Grady model of teaching. On this occasion the teacher was Cheryl who teaches at our drama classes in Chorlton, Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme and Gatley.
If you want your child to experience drama classes and acting classes which will give them life long skills so vital today when competing for jobs or places at University then look no further. Our classes are tailor made to improve skills in communication and listening, confidence and self esteem. The classes make use of improvisation, ad-lib, script work and mime to encourage the imagination of every child. Do children perform better at school with these skils? We think so and so do many parents.
Irlam Studio – Coming Soon
Smhog announce today that we have secured a venue in Irlam M44 area and will soon be opening a new studio there. It will be at the Boundary Road Methodist Church Hall on Boundary Road. We have already had a number of calls about the venue primarily via our twitter feed but, hopefully, interest will grow as we approach an opening date to be announced. This is an exciting opportunity for Smhog as there appears to be limited availability in the area to similar teaching or workshops. Keep a look out for further details either here on the website, on Facebook or on our Twitter feed @smhog.
