Grady Bear hosts Reigate Seminar

The new term is almost upon us and SMHOG are really looking forward to delivering the new curriculum in the forthcoming term. After attending the winter seminar in Reigate, hosted by Grady Bear, we meet other Helen O’Grady Principals and work through the content of the subject matter for each age group that we bring to the classes. It is a fantastic day full of workshopping and acting undertaken by the principals and teachers attending from around the country and from even as far as Australia. Everyone gets involved in the day and shows off their own talents and ability at some stage during the day. This site can only show a few pictures from the day but if you follow the link to the facebook page then you will see a fuller album of photo’s from the event.

Workshops of the New Curriculum

This is going to be an exciting term with new ideas and concepts together with some old favourites such as Shakespeare week. Look out for the events in the SMHOG calendar. Of course, if you are not a member of the academy then it will all pass you by. Drama is self discipline, confidence and communication and a number of our youth and children have gone on to appear on television calmly and professionally. Children gain confidence through our unique programme of self development, tried and tested throughout the years and still in high demand and very popular around the world.

Even Principals from Australia made an appearance

The first lesson is a free trial for new starter so there really is no risk. We just need to be able to speak with you to get some details to go on the class register for the information of the teacher. If you like what we offer then you can enrol from the week after and join the expanding Helen O’Grady Academy, learning important life skills whilst having fun.

Words of inspiration from Nigel Le Page, National Director of the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy to open the seminar,

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which has the potential to turn a life around. Each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard and allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.” (Dr Felice Leonardo Buscaglia 1924 – 1998 and Oprah Winfrey – American TV Host – Author: What I Know for Sure)
